Mark Sparrowhawk is responsible for design, coordination and construction of the exterior building envelope and associated elements on all STUDIOpractice projects.
Mark initially spent over five years with Richard Meier & Partners Los Angeles Office as a project architect on The Getty Center, before returning to the United Kingdom in 1997 to work on the design of the London Eye. Subsequently, Mark rejoined our office in 2000 as a project designer for the San Jose City Hall. Since 2000, Mark has led the technical design of all projects including the Eli & Edythe Broad Art Center at UCLA; Mandeville Place in Philadelphia; Stark Sculpture Garden at The Getty Center; 9200 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills; 9399 Wilshire in Beverly Hills; the Gagosian Gallery Expansion in Beverly Hills; the United States Courthouse in San Diego, California; One Beverly Hills; and the Superior Court of California, Sonoma County.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Architecture at the East London University, and has previously worked on award-winning projects in London, Barcelona, Riyadh and San Francisco while at architecture firms including Foster & Partners and Marks Barfield Architects in London, Holt Hinshaw Pfau Jones in San Francisco, and Jones Partners in Los Angeles, CA.
